Mia made the All-Tournament Team for the Big Orange Bash hosted at Clemson to kick off the 2022 season!

Defense wins games, Clemson has some of the finest defensive players in the country! Mia had 241 digs in the 2022 season.
When not in Jervey Gym or traveling with the team, you'll find Mia at any other Clemson sporting event, Go Tigers!!
Mia was a 6 position outside hitter for Adversity's 2022 18 Adidas team, who took 5th place in the OPEN Division of the National Championships.
Mia was a 6 position outside hitter for Adversity's 2021 17 Adidas team, who took 13th place in the OPEN Division of the National Championships.
Mia is a captain for Adversity 16 Adidas for the 2020 season!

A fast offense run by Sam Buckley and terrific six-rotation outside Mia McGrath have sparked Adversity to a 21-3 start to the season, including wins over the likes of Sky High, Michio and 1st Alliance Black. The team currently sits No. 2 in the Windy City PL 16 Open division.

Mia was a member of Sky High Adidas 15 Black, #80. She was an Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist. 15 Black took 2nd place at the 2019 Nationals, USA Division!
Mia was a starting 6 position outside hitter for Loyola Academy's Varsity Team 2019-2021.
Mia was a member of Loyola's JV team in 2018, she was a starting outside hitter, the team went 32-0, winning four tournaments including the GCAC Tournament. First team to do so in school history.

HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS
In 2018 Mia was selected to participate in the A2 training program in Colorado Springs, CO and was an alternate for the Continental Team. She trained with the program in Colorado in July of 2018.

Mia is wearing #23. She was named to the All-Tournament Team!
Mia played basketball from 4th through 8th grade (jumping, wearing blue)
Mia played for Deerfield Travel Softball program for 4 years. Positions played: pitcher, catcher, first base and shortstop.
Mia played travel soccer for Chicago Fire Juniors for 3 years (wearing blue)
Mia has enjoyed playing beach volleyball in the summers!
Mia was on the Tennaqua swim & Diving Teams for 6 years in the summers.
Mia participated in three school plays in junior high (far right)
On days where Mia does not have volleyball practice, she volunteers through Loyola and the Arupe Program. During her Freshman year, she volunteered at a nursing home with patients who are near their end of life. She would listen to their stories, put puzzles together and help them in other movement activities. She spent the winter/spring 2019 volunteering at a horse stable helping guide autistic children while riding the horses. Winter/Spring 2020 she will be watching 4 year olds for an after school care program.
Katy played volleyball for John Carroll University, and is a member of the JCU Hall of Fame.
Dan was an All-American football player at Western Kentucky University.
Mia has a younger brother Jack. Jack plays football, basketball, baseball and volleyball.
